Special 4-week workshop "Fine Tuning Your Mat Skills"

In this 4 Session Workshop we will go through the entire Pilates Advanced Mat Repetoire and dissect the basic 5 exercises that if deeply understood, lay the root and foundation for success in the rest of the workout. By identifying and clarifying the skill sets these basic exercises require, we shed light on the more difficult exercises, illustrating the interconnectedness of the entire repertory. We will practice these skills within the Basic 5 and then explore all the apparatus using these skills.

Mat

The essence of all Pilates work, Mat classes are a series of floor exercises designed to create uniform development, long muscles, core strength and breath control.

Pre-Natal & Post-Partum Mat

Tone abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, strengthen the arms, legs, and back to support the shifting center of gravity and loosening ligaments. You can work postpartum individually or we can structure a group class to fit your needs.

Power Mat

This non-stop 45 minute class brings Essential Mat exercises to a new level by utilizing an energizing flow. It is helpful to have a familiarity with mat exercises in advance due to the fast pace.

Pilates Mat with Props

This Pilates experience utilizes all of the basic concepts introduced in the Essential Mat Classes but incorporates use of fitness circles, stability balls and Thera bands.

Form, Foundation & Fundamentals

Since the key to your pilates practice is absolute proper alignment of your structure, it is imperative to learn proper. Without proper form, the exercises will never have the benefit intended. In this class, we will break down each exercise into the fundamentals that are needed in order for the exercises to happen, or for a more advanced version of the exercise to happen. Great for beginners who do not yet understand the technique needed in each exercise. Great for intermediate or advanced students to sharpen their skills.
