Massage and Bodywork
Lori graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 1999. While at massage school, she had a roll over car accident. The accident changed her life and luckily she was in school where she could get the care she needed to feel better. The need for care with her chronic pain has given her empathy when working on clients with injuries and chronic pain. She completed the Associate of Occupational Studies in Massage Therapy in 2000 with a focus on sports and orthopedic massage. Lori had her first child in January of 2002. The experience of being pregnant and the post partum time prompted her to seek further education with pregnancy. Her continuing education brought her to prenatal and postpartum massage and care through a Lamaze childbirth education certification and postpartum doula certification through the Doulas of North America (DONA). Lori enjoys working out, hiking, yoga and spending time with her son.

I am a part of your team, not someone who is going to ‘fix’ you. This means you are vital to your own healing, health and well-being. The work I do allows your body to balance and heal on it’s own. I’ve developed my own style of bodywork combining Bowen therapy/NST, Thai body & foot massage, Manual Ligament Therapy and clinical deep tissue. This intuitive, on-the-spot approach to well-being is adapted to you in this present moment. I have also taken several Yoga teacher trainings in different lineages. I teach Krishnamacharya, yoga adapted to the individual. I believe self-care is essential and teach self-massage with therapy balls. When you are able to self-treat daily your muscles and fascia will become more pliable, supple, and less prone to injury. I also encourage meditation for your body’s solid foundation. Including the mind into your healthcare regime is the missing piece for everyone!
